We regularly almost every year send entries for Chess, Table-Tennis, Carrom, Cricket, Football, Basket Ball, Swimming, Judo at Inter-collegiate competitions.
Miss Manju Rajak of S.Y.B.Com. won Bronze Medal at inter-collegiate Judo Competition. Mr. Patrick, our T.Y.B.Com. student participated as a team member in Inter-University Basket Ball competition. Our Cricket team reached pre-quarter final in inter-collegiate cricket tournament.
Under Cultural programmed the Marathi Sahitya Man dal has organized programme ‘Gappa Gosti’. Shri. Jayant Oak was the speaker.
Our past students Mr. Bajantri rose up to Dy. Commissioner’s position from humble beginning as a clerk in Sales Tax. Our teacher Shri. B. K. Samal completed Ph.D. in English literature. Our teachers C. Karunanidhi, Mrs. Kulkarni, Mr. N. M. Potekar attended Orientation Programme as well as refresher Courses are completed by Mrs. A. D. Kulkarni, Miss. Kiran Jani, K. L. Thakkar and R. R. Shah. Students of Kannada Sahitya Sangh of our college in the past had held several competitions at our college. Chorus, Solo, Duet singing, Drama, Mimicry etc. They had also participated in several competitions at other college and had won innumerable shields and trophies and cups. They had also bagged championship trophy of University of Mumbai for 2 years in succession for collecting maximum points tally rare feet indeed also being in service, attending evening lectures and participating in curricular, sports, co-curricular and extra curricular activities. They were pride of our institution. Our students go on industrial visits interact with the industry and try to learn industrial culture and discipline to scale the heights after they have completed their graduation in the college.
We celebrate every year Sant Gadge Maharaj Anniversary Week in the month of December, the week has a very tight schedule of lectures of eminent personalities on various issues concerning education, morals and society. Cleanliness campaign is the hallmark of the week. Students, teachers clean the roads remove filth and garbage chanting the famous Gadge Mahahraj Bhajan. “Gopala Gopala Devakinandan Gopala”. The week gets concluded by distribution of Zunka Bhakar to students and the residents of Khetwadi.
Shri Ramrao Adik, Ex-C.M. and President of B.E. Society, Dr. N. N. Kailash, Ex-Education Minister, Late Padmavibhushan Dr. Usha Mehta veteran Gandhian, Freedom Fighter, Social worker and the chairperson of B.E. Society had led the cleanliness campaign.
The cleanliness campaign was led by D.M. Sukhthankar, S. S. Tinaikar, S. Ranganathan, Shri. Padmanabhaiya and Karun Srivastava as Municipa Commissioner, even Ex-mayor like Chhagan Bhujbal, ramesh Prabhu, Chandrakant Padwal, they have all grace the Sant Gadge Maharaj Week.
